German Early Candidate Poster-This poster is printed on white newsprint, and measures 20 inches by 26 inches. The poster advertises a lecture or meeting with Center Party candidate Julius Bachem on February 14, 1921. This lecture is scheduled to be held at the Hall by Henrich in Hundsbach. In 1921 Bachem was the top candidate for the Center Party. The center Party was politically active in the Second Reich from the time of Otto von Bismarck in the 1870s to 1933. It was the first party of imperial Germany to cut across class and state lines, but because it represented the Roman Catholics, who were concentrated in southern and western Germany. The Centre Party was dissolved by the NSDAP-dominated government in July 1933. The posters are in good shape, although they are fragile of course. There is some small tearing to the edges, but this does not affect the script at all. It has some age toning but no staining. Would look great in a frame!
