German Luftschutz Model 1938 Helmet-This late war example has a dark blue finish that remains 70% intact. This is a three piece, beaded example. The decal is in good shape, remaining 85% intact with minor toning. Each side has a pair of salt and pepper shaker ventilation holes. The liner is ersatz leather. It is size stamped 58 and has the original cork liner band pads in place. The rear skirt has stenciled (late war) markings, including the size, 58 and script that indicates that this meets the proper specifications. What is unique is the fact that the price on 1-10 of these was 8 Rm. If you bought 11 or more it was 7.50 Rm. The rear skirt is also stamped “Rl 233/10”. Also seen is the number 20 in white ink. The original wide chinstrap is present as well. An interesting example!
