German Model 1889 Prussian Infantry Officer Sword-This is the desirable model 1889. The overall length is approx. 36 inches (91.44cm). The brass hilt has a folding guard with an imperial eagle. The black celluloid handle is in very good shape. The twisted wire grip wrap in is in place and is nicely toned. The scabbard has lost its original finish and has a coat of rust. This may clean up should you choose to do so. You clean; you save! The plain blade is excellent.
