German Swastika from Plane-This is a piece of canvas/fabric that was removed from a plane, we think it may have been a Bücker Bü 133 Jungmeister which was an advanced trainer of the Luftwaffe. It was a single-engine, single-seat biplane of wood and tubular steel construction and covered in fabric. This is a Black swastika on a white field, with a vibrant red background, and we believe this would have been located on the tail of the aircraft, or even under the one of the wings. It would be easy to surmise that these planes were found all over the airfields after the war, and a GI could easily cut this off the plane as a souvenir.  This example does have some folds, and slight creasing, a bit of discoloration as would be expected from weathering, but overall, it is in very good condition. Our super sleuth Tom M thinks it may also be from a Grunau Baby II trainer. We've attached a photo!!  It measures 19 inches by 18 inches and would make a terrific display piece.
