German WWII 1939 Spange to the Iron Cross 2nd Class -This is a very good example. The 2nd Class Spange was awarded to a WWI winner (of the Imperial version of the Iron Cross First Class) for a subsequent award of the Iron Cross 2nd Class during WWII (i.e. pre-1939). It is smaller with two prongs (in place), and pinned to the 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class ribbon. This is a nice early example.
