German WWII 1st Model Luftwaffe Dagger by Eickhorn-This is a top shelf museum quality example. The aluminum fittings have a shiny brushed natural finish that is excellent. The gold gilt remains in place on the sunwheel swastika. The blue Moroccan leather grip is undamaged, and near excellent, as is the twisted wire silver grip wrap. The Moroccan leather on the scabbard is also excellent. There are a few small dents along the edge, but this is not a distraction. The scabbard fittings have a silver finish that remains in place and complements the fittings on the pommel and crossguard. These fittings remain dent free, including the ball tip. The buffer remains in place under the crossguard. The blade is excellent as well. The Eickhorn squirrel logo can be seen on the reverse, just under the crossguard. This comes complete with the correct aluminum chain. The large snap clip is marked with the logo for Overhoff & Cie. The clip works as intended. Again, this is a top shelf, museum quality piece. They do not get much better than this.
