German WWII 1st Model Luftwaffe Dagger-This is an unmarked example. It is early as you can tell by the high-quality nickel-plated fittings. The pommel and crossguard retain approx. 50% of their gilding gold swastikas finish. The Moroccan blue leather handle is in very good condition, there is some scuffing to the reverse, but overall, this is very good, as is the toned silver wire grip wrap. The blue Moroccan leather on the scabbard is very good, there are a few scuffs throughout, but overall, this is intact and in very good condition. The scabbard fittings have darkened some, they retain approx. 70% of their original finish. The scabbard ball tip remains undented. The black buffer is in place under the crossguard. The unmarked blade is in very good condition. It is free from water spotting and darkening. There is one small nick about mid-way down, but overall, this is very good. This comes complete with an aluminum chain. The large snap clip is marked with the logo for Overhoff & Cie. The clip works as intended. This is an honest wartime example of a 1st model Luftwaffe.
