German WWII 1st Model NSKK Motorcycle Crash Helmet-This has the first pattern eagle in tombak. This insignia has lost its original nickel silver finish. The eagle retains some of the silver in the lowest details, but the majority has toned to a bronze like color. The black finish remains on the painted swastika. The insignia is very tightly affixed. The rigid shell and perimeter padding are evenly worn and lightly faded. There is some scuffing and crazing to the leather shell, but this appears to come from general wear. The leather visor is slightly bent so please see the photos. The leather is in very good shape on the visor. This has the neck and flaps which have the ear cut outs. The helmet has lost its lining and dome pad. The sweatband is in place, though the drawstring is missing. It is size 59, we think we can see the partial faded size stamp. Overall, it is very good.
