German WWII 2nd Model DAK Tropical Pith Helmet-This is the 2nd model with the green felt covering. The exterior is quite clean on this example. The leather trim is virtually gone on this example, so please be sure to look closely at the photos. The chinstrap is also missing. Both shields are in place and retain the majority of their original finish. There is the red felt lining, please note that this has one large tear to the inside of this lining. The light brown leather sweatband is in place and looks very good. This sweatband is stamped for the maker JHS, Johann Hückel's Söhne, who was a prominent hat manufacturer based in Neutitschein, Czechoslovakia (Sudetenland). This cap is a size 57. It is dated 1942 under the sweatband. This has some liabilities but overall is in very good condition.
