German WWII 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger by Fridecius-This dagger was made by a very rare maker. Fridericus was the name of the brand for maker Paul Dinger. He was known for making high end steel blades in Solingen. This 2nd model Luftwaffe dagger has a white celluloid handle that is free of cracks or crazing. The twisted wire grip wrap has toned to match the upper fittings and is in very good condition. The airplane gray fittings are excellent in both tone and detailing. The leather buffer is in place under the crossguard. The airplane gray pebbled scabbard is excellent! The hanger rings are in place. The scabbard remains dent free, though there is a small bit of finish loss on the tip of the scabbard. The blade is excellent. You can see the Fridericus logo on the obverse of the blade, just under the crossguard. There is very obvious factory cross graining in the blade. This is excellent overall, and a rare maker! This would make a handsome addition to your collection.
