German WWII 2nd Model Luftwaffe Officer’s Dagger by SMF-This is a handsome looking dagger. The pumpkin orange celluloid handle has a few cracks including just under the pommel on both the obverse, and the reverse. The cracks can be seen lower, just above the crossguard. The pommel and crossguard fittings are beautiful though and they retain the majority of their bright silver finish. They both have strong detailing. The scabbard finish is also in place and has a nice shiny tone that complements the upper fittings. There is one small dent above the ball tip, and please see that the ball tip does have a slight coat of rust just at the end of the scabbard. The blade has a few liabilities, it does show dark water spots throughout, so please see photos. The SMF Knight logo can be seen on the reverse of the blade just under the crossguard. The blade is cloudy and we rate this as very good. Priced to sell.
