German WWII Ahnenpas- The Ahnenpass (Ancestor Pass) was a standardized genealogical booklet introduced during the Third Reich to document and certify an individual's "Aryan" lineage. It served as the primary proof of racial purity required under the 1935 Nuremberg Laws. This person has entries to prove lineage as far back as the year 1804. It was mandatory for NSDAP Party members, the SS, Wehrmacht officers, and civil servants. It was also frequently required for marriage licenses and certain social privileges. Owners had to compile data using official birth, baptismal, marriage, and death certificates. These entries required verification by church or municipal registrars. You can see the official stamps that have been verified and stamped. You of course also had to pay. You can see the two payments stamps on the inside front cover. This book is in near excellent condition. A scarce find and would make for an interesting research project.
