German WWII Army Infantry “Crusher” Cap-This crusher cap is produced in soft field grey wool. It is super clean with two small moth bites to the right side of the cap, just under the white piping. There is moth tracking to the lower left side of the dark green centerband, so please be sure to look closely at the photos. It is a true crusher cap. The white infantry piping is excellent. The eagle is brushed aluminum and the cockade is BeVo. In fact, there is a BeVo eagle as well, but this is underneath the aluminum eagle that the owner of the cap has attached over the BeVo eagle. This eagle retains the majority of its original silver finish. There is no chin cord on this example. The visor is black leather with crazing and wear but it isn't stiff and folds nicely. The interior is fully lined in gold rayon that does have several moth bites near the front, so be sure to look at the photos. There is a diamond shaped moisture shield that is fully intact. This is very well marked, in fact, check out the maker, and the street that this manufacturer was located on, how cool is this. The maker is M. Zöltsel Nachf/ Inh Mark u. Ehrlicher located on Adolf Hitler Strasse in Würzburg. The sweatband is light tan oil cloth. It shows wear but is intact and in good condition. The cap is a size 57. This great cap folds almost flat! Very nice and desirable!
