German WWII Hitler Youth Leader Brocade Belt and Buckle-Starting with the buckle, which is an early, tombak example with a nickel silver finish that is almost fully intact with darker toning. The details on this buckle are strong. There is slight wear and verdigris to the top and bottom of the HJ diamond, but otherwise in good condition. The reverse is also toned and is marked M4/22 for what appears to be the primary (but not the only) maker of the silver and gold HJ buckles, Christian Theodore Dicke (CTD). Light wear. This is a good example! Keeper is present. The brocade belt has an excellent exterior. The silver and black striped belt looks very good. The brocade is clean and damage free. The silver is still shiny and not darkly toned at all. The two slides are present. The brown cloth backing is excellent. This belt has a soft brown tongue that is marked with a handwritten size of 70 on the underside, which is incorrect, as this belt measures 40 inches long (101.6cm) belt. This will fit up to a size 38 waist. The leather tongue also has a pencil mark of US which is crossed out, so please take a look at photos. This was either written by a collector or a seller at one time. Other than this, the belt is near excellent. A great set!
