German WWII “As Found” Army Field Cap-This is a fairly well worn field cap. The insignia is original to the period but has been re-applied to the cap. The green wool has darkened a bit from age and storage. This has a single grommet on each side. There is a two button closure at the front of the flaps. The silver pebbled buttons show some rust so please see the photos. The inside is lined in brown, that also shows moderate use. The lining is well marked, though the original label is illegible. You can still read the date 1942. This is a size 57. We would consider this cap an “As found salty dawg”.
