German WWII Early Political Leader’s Visor Cap for Orts Level-This is a pre-1939 style with the silver eagle and simplified cockade setup. This cap has blue piping for ORTS level. The blue is slightly faded from age and storage. It retains a great saddle shape, and the exterior with piping, brown velvet center band are in good condition and show only slight moth tracking. The celleon officer’s chin cord has toned to a nice matte gold color and is in very good shape. The silver eagle retains the majority of its original finish. The enamel on the cockade has dulled some but still looks quite good. The interior of this size 57 cap has a well marked, and complete moisture shield. You can see the large eagle logo and the maker’s name Sonder-Klasse on the inside. The light gold silk lining has separated from the sweatband so please be sure to look closely at the photos. This is a handsome early cap that will make a nice display item.
