German WWII Heer Mess Hall Serving Bowl-This is a square shaped white porcelain bowl that measures 8 ½ inches (21.59cm) in diameter. It measures approx. 3 inches (7.62cm) deep. It is made of white porcelain and shows only light wear. This is very well marked on the bottom for PMR Bavaria Jaeger & Co. It is dated 1938 features the official heer (army) acceptance mark (Wehrmacht eagle over swastika). These durable white porcelain items were manufactured for communal dining facilities, barracks, and mess halls (Kantine or Truppenküche) rather than frontline field use. This is in near excellent condition.
