German WWII Hertz Horns for Moored Contact Mine-We are all familiar with the spikey undersea mines made famous during WWI and WWII. They almost look like a large mace underwater. Well here we have two of the iconic spikes, which are formally called Hertz horns. These spikes were designed to detonate upon physical collision with a ship's hull. We have two of these that were removed from a mine. These would definitely make an interesting conversation piece in your collection.
