German WWII Hitler Youth Belt Buckle-This is a very interesting late war buckle made out of solid zinc. It shows light wear to the details, but as you know the zinc has not retained the silver finish. The zinc has toned to a nice gun metal gray. The top of the wreath and tip of the motto so some corrosion from the aging zinc. This is also apparent on the top edge of the buckle body. This has an integrated catch, and a zinc rollbar that retains the majority of its nickel finish. This is nicely RZM marked under the catch. It is marked RZM M4/39 with an upside down number 2. This is the code for F. W. Assmann, and the 2 could represent the 2nd run of the buckle production. This is a very good example of an extremely late version of a Hitler Youth buckle.
