German WWII "Hitlerjugend (HJ) Fest 1933 Tinnie-This tinnie commemorates the 1. Fest der Jugend (1st Youth Festival) held on June 24, 1933. This massive propaganda event marked the official early integration of the Hitler Youth into the newly established party. Held just months after Adolf Hitler was appointed Chancellor, the festival served as a way to consolidate control over German youth. Tens of thousands of boys from the Hitlerjugend and girls from the Bund Deutscher Mädel (BDM) were gathered to participate in drills, marching formations, and rallies. The event was heavily stage-managed to foster uniformity, militarism, and ideological indoctrination. This is made out of a stamped tin. It is very thin. It has a nice gold tone. This tinnie sits on a stick pin that is not knurled. A nice early example.
