German WWII HJ Armband-This is a difficult example for me to write up for you. This armband has been the victim of what appears to be a shrapnel damage. We are unsure whether someone was wearing this armband, or if it was in the pocket of someone as a souvenir when the damage occurred. This armband is multipiece, with a BeVo swastika on the separately applied white diamond. The white stripe is separately applied as well. There is significant damage as you can see, and discoloration from burning and possibly blood. This is a sober reminder of the war, and the horrors seen by everyone. “As found” example.
