German WWII NAMED Government Officials Ceremonial Dagger by Alcoso-This is one of the scarcest daggers to encounter, and this one is named. This is a beautiful model 1939 Government official’s dagger. The artificial mother of pearl grip scales are excellent. They have toned to a beautiful ivory white and have a classic look. The eagle head pommel and spread winged eagle crossguard have excellent details. They retain the majority of the toned silver finish. The finish has darkened some, which makes the details on the crossguard, and pommel really stand out. Be aware that the eagle crossguard is slightly loose. The leather buffer is in place under the crossguard. The steel scabbard is excellent. It retains the majority of the original finish. The scabbard straps are nicely embellished with oak leaves. These have excellent details. The beautiful plated blade is also excellent. You can still see factory cross graining. The Alcoso scales logo can be seen on the reverse of the blade under the crossguard. You can also see a name “ANDER J. M841 R7”. This is near excellent through and through and may make a fun winter research project.
