German WWII NSDAP Pennant- This is an interesting pennant in its size and shape. It likely hung on a wall or building. It is one sided and of multi piece construction. The white center piece is separately applied with a printed swastika. It measures 27” (69cm) at its widest and 27” (69cm) tall. It is made of a bunting material. The red field is vibrant and the center piece has some staining and discoloration. The top end would have been folded over to accommodate a dowel for hanging. That has been crudely cut off leaving a jagged edge and one 4” tear right below that. I can imagine the GI hastily pulling this down and cutting out the hanging device to easily fold up and store in his bag. This pennant is certainly different and one we have not seen in a long while.
