German WWII NSFK Flyers Knife by Gebr. Heller-This is a very early, textbook example of the DLV/NSFK Glider Pilot’s Dagger. The early nickel silver fittings on the hilt have a nice toned and retain the majority of their finish. The pommel looks terrific. The fittings on the scabbard are also very nice, and the scabbard ball remains dent free. The blue Moroccan leather on both the handle and the scabbard is in very nice condition. This is stamped on the scabbard throat with the flying Icarus NSFK emblem. The blade is in very good condition with a beautifully burnished Heller, early logo. The blue pebbled leather buffer is still in place under the cross guard. This comes complete with a handsome brown leather hanger. The snap clip on the hanger is marked with DRGM with the stylized “A” logo for F.W. Assmann & Söhne of Lüdenscheid. This is one of the nicest flyer’s daggers I’ve owned in 60 years. We were able to buy this out of a prominent collection. Gorgeous.
