German WWII NSFK Glider Badge (Identified)-This is a very cool badge. This is the larger NSFK Glider badge, it measures 45mm in diameter. It features a circular oak leaf wreath with three white-enameled soaring gulls overlaid on the center, sitting above the NSFK-style winged figure and swastika at the bottom. Three gulls would be won for a 5 minute solo flight without loss of altitude, plus an oral report or explanation. This would be the highest award. The reverse is marked with the property motto and ges.gesch. There are two numbers, a serial patent number 29240 and the award number 740. This has been identified to a pilot named Karl Müller. This would make for a fun research project. You can also read the property motto “Eigentum des Nationalsozialistischen Fliegerkorps”. This is excellent.
