German WWII NSKK Dagger by Wilh. Kober-This is a dagger. This NSKK has a beautiful brown wooden handle with a few deep dents and some old scratches. I say old, since they have smoothed into the wood. The early nickel silver grip eagle is a tight fit and has great tone and details. The enameled SA runic button retains its enamel and looks very good. The fittings are excellent, they retain 95% of their nickel silver finish, that now has a nice matte look. The reverse of the crossguard is marked for “Th” for the SA Gruppe Thuringia. The scabbard is a repaint and may be factory done to make this SA dagger an NSKK dagger. The repaint is very good, with the finish being 95% intact. The scabbard fittings are very good. The nickel silver fittings on this scabbard are excellent, as is the flattened ball tip. The blade is very good. You can see the factory cross graining. The “All for Germany” motto is deeply etched. The Wilh. Kober logo can be seen on the reverse side, just under the crossguard. The blade is tight fit to the scabbard. This is a handsome piece and priced accordingly.
