German WWII Original Photo of Musikkorps der SS-The SS maintained formal musical units. They performed at party rallies, state functions, military parades and propaganda broadcasts. They normally played militaristic marching songs, nationalistic hymns such as the Horst Wessel Lied. This is a great photo, you can see the two SS runic banners on either side of the National eagle. If you zoom in, you can see the runic collar tabs on the members of the percussion section, along with the conductor. This photo measures 5 ½ inches (13.97 cm) wide, and 3 ½ inches (8.89 cm) tall. The photo is not faded at all, in fact it is in excellent condition.
