German WWII Political Leader’s Belt Buckle by Matthias Salcher & Söhne-This style of political leader’s buckle was introduced in 1940. This is a gold washed aluminum buckle that features a large national eagle surrounded by an oak leaf wreath. This would be worn with a wide brown leather belt, on a service uniform. The buckle is in fantastic condition, retaining all of its gilt finish on both the obverse and reverse. The details are nice and strong. The reverse is marked RZM M4/24 which is the contract awarded to Frederich Linden (FLL). This example is complete with one nicely embellished keeper. Excellent example overall.
