German WWII Post Office Savings Book-This is a banking or savings book for someone named Hans Bourscheid of Stuttgart. Hans’s occupation is listed as a merchant. This savings book was issued in 1942. During the Third Reich, citizens used the post office as their bank as for mailing items. Citizens were issued these books and used them to deposit funds or to buy savings stamps.
