German WWII RAD Leader’s Dagger by Eickhorn-This Model 1937 Leader’s dagger is uncleaned. The white celluloid handle is excellent. It shows no cracking or crazing. There are two black tiny spots on the obverse, but this is not a distraction. The fittings retain approx. 90% of their finish on the hilt and crossguard. The details and tone of the eagle head pommel, and the RAD emblem are excellent. The finish has an excellent tone that makes the details really stand out. The scabbard has a nice matching tone. The detailing is beautiful. This scabbard is in near excellent condition. The blade is very good, especially with the nice long blood groove. The obverse of the blade has a nice deep Labor Corps motto which translates to “Work Ennobles”. There is some spotting on the lower portion of the blade, please see photos. The reverse of the blade, just under the crossguard, shows the 1935-1941 Eickhorn logo. The triangle RADJ Logo is not present on this model of RAD leader’s dagger, as they stopped stamping this mark on daggers as the war progressed. This blade is a very tight fit to the scabbard. This is a very good looking popular dagger in near excellent condition.
