German WWII SA Dagger by Carl Malsch Spitzer- Carl Malsch Spitzer is also referred to as Malsch-Spitzer Karl located in Steinbach, Thuringia. This is an RZM example, so this would be made in or after 1938. The brown wooden handle is free of damage and has a gorgeous brown tone. The nickel silver grip eagle and enameled SA button are a nice tight fit to the handle. The eagle has a nice matte silver tone, and the enamel to the runic button is nice and clear. The plating on the fittings is 95% intact on both upper and lower guards. The nickel has a silver finish that is roughly the same color as the grip eagle. The dark brown painted scabbard is excellent with the finish being 95% in place. The fittings are a nice tone. The ball on the tip is nice and round and undented. The blade is a tight fit to the scabbard. The blade is in excellent condition with very obvious factory cross graining. The obverse has the motto “Alles fur Deutschland” deeply etched. On the reverse, is the RZM Code M7/91 for Carl Malsch Spitzer, which is a seldom seen maker. The blade does have some runner marks but they all do! This is a desirable example of an RZM SA dagger in, top shelf, excellent shape.
