German WWII SA Dagger by Eickhorn-This is an RZM vintage example by a favorite maker. This has nickel plated fittings that retain the majority of their silver finish. The brown wooden handle is in very good condition and is nicely toned to a mahogany brown color. This handle shows some very nice graining. The grip eagle has lost the majority of its silver finish, is made out of a copper alloy. This has toned to a nice copper color that complements the brown handle. The SA runic button is in very good condition with a clear enamel and nice colors. This shows hardly any wear at all. The painted scabbard shows moderate scuffing to the obverse, but the finish is mostly intact. The nickel-plated fittings on the scabbard are also very good. The ball tip is also in very good condition, with no flattening at all. The blade has the typical in and out runner marks and a faint bit of factory cross graining. The back of the blade has the RZM along with M7/66 and date 1940 for the maker Eickhorn. A very good example.
