German WWII SA Dagger by SMF-This is a very good untouched, uncleaned RZM vintage dagger. It shows all the textbook characteristics including plated fittings, an aluminum grip eagle, nice clear SA enameled button and the RZM contract number located on the reverse of the blade. The handle and fit on this example are very nice. The plating on the fittings is fully intact. The scabbard is painted with the finish remaining 95% in place. There are some discoloration marks and some scuffing to the scabbard so please be sure to look closely at the photos. The fittings on the scabbard, including the ball at the tip are in very good condition. The silver fittings on both the crossguard, and scabbard do show some scuffing and some texturing. The blade is in very good shape, and other than a few very light spots, and some in and out marks, this is very good. The “All for Germany” motto is deeply etched. The reverse of the blade has the contract numbers RZM M7/9, which is the contract number for SMF (Solinger Metallwarenfabrik Stoecker & Co. 'SMF') with the date of 41 which is the last year for the mass production of daggers due to the war effort. Overall, very interesting untouched example that is in sound condition.
