German WWII Short Model Dress Bayonet by Paul Seilheimer-The hilt and pommel fittings retain 95% of their original matte nickel silver finish. The mortise button functions as it should. The black bakelite checkered grip plates are excellent, as is the thick leather buffer below the crossguard. The red felt buffer is still tightly in the bayonet slot. Generally speaking, collectors would refer to this as being issued to artillery or flak troops. The scabbard retains approx. 95% of its original black paint and is dent free. There is a slight spot of finish loss on the ball tip, but this is not a distraction. The blade is excellent. The PS logo can be seen just under the crossguard for Paul Seilheimer. This comes with a gorgeous black patent leather frog that is also in near excellent condition. This is a good-looking bayonet!
