German WWII Signed Photo of Knights Cross Winner Friederich Raaf-Raaf was a highly decorated Leutnant der Reserves and chief of the 7 Panzergrenadier reg 21. He was recipient of the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross. Panzergrenadier Regiment 21 was part of the German Army's 21st Panzer Division, a unit with a long and complex history that spanned multiple campaigns of World War II. It started in Africa, and its destruction in North Africa, the 21st Panzer Division was reconstituted in France. Its grenadiers then went on to fight on the Western and Eastern fronts. This photo is signed by Raff in blue ink. It measures 4 ½ inches (11.43cm) long by 3 ½ inches (8.89 cm) wide. Someone has written Raff’s name on the reverse. It is in very good condition.
