German WWII Signed Photo of Knights Cross Winner Major Dedo von Krosigk- Krosigk was a German officer who served in the Wehrmacht as a company and battalion commander during the Second World War. He fought primarily on the Eastern Front and earned the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross for bravery and leadership in combat. Krosigk’s units were often involved in defensive and counterattack operations, particularly in 1943–44. After the war, he became known among historians and collectors for his detailed hand-drawn battlefield maps and correspondence documenting tactical events from his service. He served primarily on the Eastern Front but was temporarily attached to liaison and tactical planning roles connected with northern operations, explaining his awareness of Finnish-German battle coordination. This card measures 6 inches (15.24cm) tall and 4 inches (10.16 cm) wide. This photo has faded from age and storage, but the signature is still quite clear on the front. This also comes with a nice note dated 1986, and a list of his achievements. Krosigk passed away in Germany on February 13th, 1992, at the age of 78.  This photo and letter are in good condition.
