German WWII SS Dispatch Case-This is an excellent looking map case. It is made of pebbled black leather. There are two separate compartments or pockets inside. The interior is very clean. The front of the bag has slots for pencils and an eraser or small tool. The front has a large pebbled, aluminum button. The front strap closure is in excellent condition, as is the small black buckle. The belt loop straps are also excellent. The reverse has some damage to the lower portion, it is a burn or scrape that appears to have happened a long time ago, please be sure to see photos. The inside, under the flap is marked for SS Standorverwaltung Stettin which translates to SS Garrison Administration Stettin. Stettin is now Szczecin Poland. During World War II, the SS-Standortverwaltung Stettin) was a localized administrative agency of the Schutzstaffel (SS) which managed logistics, finances, and properties for SS personnel and infrastructure stationed in Stettin which served as the capital of the Prussian Province of Pomerania. This unit answered directly to Berlin. This case is in near excellent condition despite the blemish on the reverse.
