German WWII Stag Handle Long Model Bayonet by A. Evertz-The matte silver finish remains 95% intact on the pommel and crossguard. The mortise button works as it should. The stag handle is in very good condition. There is a piece of red felt remaining in the slot. This indicates this bayonet would be worn by an artillery man. The steel scabbard is beautiful. This has terrific finish. There are a few scuffs, but this is from the bayonet being worn, you can tell these are scuffs that happened over time through wear. This scabbard is dent free, except for some slight flattening on the ball tip. The single engraved blade is excellent. The “memory of my service time” engraving is nice and deep. It looks beautiful. The maker’s logo can be seen just under the crossguard. This blade was made by A. Evertz of Solingen. The leather buffer remains in place under the crossguard.
