German WWII Storage Box for Luftwaffe Bearing Plate-This box is empty now but once held aircraft navigational tools. This wooden box has a feldgrau paint that remains 95% in place. It does have some spots of black paint inside, almost as if someone used this to hold paint at one point. Someone has written the name Roy inside on the bottom, please see photos. This box has a very nice original German black metal tag inside with an original contents list. This box measures 10 inches (25.4cm) long by 8 inches (20.32cm) wide, and approx. 7 inches (17.78 cm) tall (or deep). There is an aluminum handle on the front, and two aluminum clips that hold the lid closed. One of these clips is broken. Overall, this is very good, and an interesting looking box. Cool for storing your small items.
