German WWII Tag Der Deutschen Kunst 1938 Tinnie-This is made of a bakelite with a gold finish that remains mostly in place. This tinnie commemorates a cultural event, held in Munich in 1938. This was part of a major state-sponsored celebration intended to promote "Aryan" art and architecture while suppressing modern art and art from other cultures. This tinnie shows some wear to the obverse. The reverse is nicely marked for the maker Carl Poellath. The horizontal pin functions as it should.
