Flieger-Treffen Berlin 1934 tinnie is a commemorative pinback badge issued for the first aviator gathering in Berlin during the early pre-World War II. Officially, the Treaty of Versailles banned Germany from having an air force. Early organizations like the Deutscher Luftsportverband (DLV) functioned as civilian sports-flying groups to secretly train future military pilots. Public aviation meetings (Fliegertreffen) served both as public propaganda displays and recruitment/skill showcases. This is a smart looking badge. There has been a repair done to the pin, you can see the solder on the reverse in the photos. The pinback works as intended. Overall, very good and a cool piece of history.
