German WWII Tropical Canteen w/Cup-This example has a tropical tan wool cover. This shows wear. The tropical canvas strap is good with a metal tip that is heavily rusted. The included black bakelite cup is marked AL/S. There is a significant chip to the edge of the cup so please see photos. The canteen is naturally finished aluminum and is marked MN42 on the neck. The MN indicates the maker Metallindustrie GmbH. Neunkirchen-Saar. The cap is also bakelite and is marked. There is a name written on the reverse of the canteen, you can see it under the strap in black ink. This is difficult to make out. This may clean up nice.
