German WWII Vehicle ID Flag- This flag is in excellent condition and the first one I’ve seen in this shape which resembles the shape of a vehicle hood. Perhaps earlier war period preceding the ones we more often encounter. It is more square and measures 44.5” x 37” (113 x 94 cm). It is one sided and has four ties that would be used to lash this flag down to a vehicle. These were meant to mark the vehicle so that any pilots would recognize it as a German vehicle. It remains in a vibrant red color with no discoloration. There is only one small hole and stain on the edge plus two other small stains on the corners. See photo. It’s a beauty in excellent condition and seldom encountered configuration.
