Lot of Three War Merit Cross w/Swords Postcards-These postcards were very popular during the war. These are a lot of three collectible postcards, numbers 9, 10 & 11. It includes three versions of war merit cross w/swords. Number 9 shows the war merit cross 2nd class w/ swords, number 10 shows the war merit cross with sword 1st class. Number 11 shows the Ritterkreuz des Kriegsverdienstkreuzes mit Schwertern or the Knight's Cross of the War Merit Cross with Swords. This lot is from the series Die Kriegsorden des Grossdeutschen Reiches with art by Bruno Karberg and published by Verlag C. Pahl & Co. of Hamburg. These postcards do show some wear, there are folding marks on card number 11, and some crazing to the obverse of card number 9. But this is slight and gives these a very vintage look. The graphics on each card is still nice and vibrant, and very clear. The reverse of the cards show age and storage discoloration, and a few random marks, but overall, these are in good shape.
