Model 1935 Russian Airforce Side Cap-This is the first of these I have ever owned. I am told that these are rare. This cap is made of a navy blue wool that is piped in cornflower blue piping. This has a matching blue star with a red enameled star badge. This style of pilotka, (Russian side caps) were designed specifically for the command and officer personnel of the Soviet Air Force. This is nicely marked on the inside blue lining. This is all in Cyrillic, but you can make out the date 1940 with the Russian sickle & hammer symbol. This is in very good condition.
