Modified Puma Blade Knife-You know how sometimes we say, if these artifacts could talk can you image the stories they would tell. Take a look at this knife, and you can almost hear the campfire tales this one would recite. This was a blade that was made by a US veteran. Not only did he bring it home with him, you can tell spent a lot of time with it being very well used. We will of course give the buyer all the information on this soldier. This knife has a stag handle that is almost as long as the blade itself. This knife measures 8 inches (20.32cm) long, with the handle being approx. 4 inches (10.16cm) long. The blade sits in the stag handle and has been secured with a soldered piece of steel. The stag handle has been worn nearly smooth from use. The steel cap has a light rust color. This knife fits snugly into its repurposed USM8 BMCO fiber sheath with canvas belt loop, and steel fittings. This sheath has seen the same wear as the knife, the green finish of the scabbard has almost worn through to the yellow fiber below. The blade is a German blade, and very well marked for the Puma company. It has been very well used and I’m certain sharpened often. This blade was probably used daily by this soldier for a million different things. Like I said, if only they could tell us what they’d seen! This is a true wartime artifact and a good conversation piece.
