Oil Painting of Waffen SS Officer-This is a gorgeous, post war hand painting of a German Waffen SS officer wearing a full combat uniform and holding a pistol. The soldier has a SS runic collar tab. He is wearing the visor cap with Totenkopf skull. This officer is wearing a “Das Reich” cuff title on his left sleeve. You can see his medals. He is wearing a five medal bar, including a WW1 iron cross, war merit, Westwall and a long service award. There is a close combat clasp, infantry assault badge, iron cross, and possibly a wound badge. You can also see his SS chained dagger on his hip. This is a very cool painting. The painting is on an unframed canvas. This canvas measures 24 inches (60.96cm) tall by 16 inches (40.64cm) wide. I cannot find a signature on this painting. This is a very special offering.
