This is the famous photo album collector’s booklet for the ’32 Los Angeles, CA Olympics. This is complete with all photos present and in excellent condition. It contains 142 pages with black and white and color photos. This book is in near excellent condition. This is a must for anyone’s Olympic collection!
History: These cigarette scrapbooks were popular in Germany from the 1930s to the end of the party movement in the 1940s. They are the product of a collaborative project of the NSDAP and the Cigarette Picture Service in Hamburg and would typically come as a blank picture album. When a customer bought a certain brand of cigarettes, a coupon would be issued that the buyer could send to the company and get a pack of pictures that could be glued into the book. After filling the book, the family would have a complete pictorial history of NSDAP’s struggle to power and special events such as the Olympics.
