Prussian Police Officer’s Belt Buckle-Early nickel silver example of this Prussian police officer’s buckle. This is a good offering! Marked L & F 1931, indicating manufacturer Linden & Funke from Iserlohn. Slight wear, with very nice detail. The keeper and catch are present. The Prussian eagle is surrounded by text that read “Freistaat Preussen” (Free State Prussia). This would have been work with a black leather belt or the brocade dress. Be aware that there is blue/green wax like substance on the keeper, and on two places on the reverse of the buckle. This should clean off if you wish. Good example of an early pre-Third Reich police officer’s buckle.
