Railway Officials Buckle-This is produced in zinc that retains the majority of its beautiful gold gilt finish. The details are excellent, with very minor wear. It is a 47mm round buckle and was introduced in September of 1939 and used throughout the rest of the war by railway officials in pay grades 6-17. The border has an oak leaf wreath which is joined at the base by a ribbon. In the pebbled field there is a winged railway wheel with a rotated swastika centered above. The fixed keeper is in place. It has lost some of its finish on the reverse. Sound condition! This is marked on the reverse for F.W. Assmann with the stylized “A” logo, and DRGM. You can also see the date 1940 on the reverse. This buckle is excellent!
